Nakissa Sedaghat

Nakissa Sedaghat is a graduate of NYU Law School, where she obtained a Master of Laws in international human rights.  She previously obtained an LL.B. from Queen's University Law School in Ontario, Canada.  Being an immigrant herself, Ms. Sedaghat devoted the first decade of her legal career to advocating for asylees, victims of domestic violence, and undocumented immigrants before federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. 

Thereafter, she took a sabbatical from the legal profession in order to raise a family.  Pivoting to civil litigation practice, Ms. Sedaghat currently heads the motions, discovery, and pleadings department at The Law Offices of Ali Taheripour.
